5 Tips to Create a Landing Page

3 Tips To Make The Most of Your Promotional Product Giveaway

Having a custom promotional product giveaway is a fun and exciting event for your business and your customers. But how do you make the most of it? How do you create a giveaway that provides real results for your business? Below you’ll find three key tips for a giveaway strategy that makes a difference for your business.

1. Know Your Goal

Before you ever start your giveaway, know why you’re doing it. You may have multiple goals. Are you throwing a giveaway in your brick-and-mortar store to excite your in-person guests? Do you want them to sign up to follow you online? Are you trying to engage your current customer base and reward them with a fun giveaway?

Do you want to build new leads online? Are you trying to expand your Facebook or Instagram followings? Do you want newsletter sign ups?

When you know why you are running your giveaway, write this down so you will keep it in mind for every decision ahead of you. It is easy to forget the reason you are doing this when you see all the options and decisions ahead. By writing this down, you will be able to come back to it and make your decisions easier.

2. Have a Promotional Product (Prize) They Can Get Excited About

Knowing the reason why you are having your giveaway will make it much easier to choose the right promotional products for your giveaway.

You know your customers. You know your business. Promotional products are the perfect opportunity to create a customized product that will speak well of your brand and appeal to your customers.

Bonus Tip: If you are having a big giveaway, you might consider having multiple prizes. One grand prize offering, and then smaller prizes for multiple winners. The more chances to win, the more enticing the opportunity to join the giveaway. Make your giveaway something your customers can’t pass up the opportunity to participate in!

3. Have a Plan For Nurturing Your Leads

Many business owners put hours of focus and energy into running a giveaway with no plan for what to do with the results. Don’t let this happen to you. The giveaway itself is only the first stage of the process! Have a plan for what happens next. If you used a giveaway to grow your Instagram following, make sure you have a plan for posting frequently during and after the giveaway. Create a schedule for posting and a list of ideas for posts that will be fun for your long time customers and people new to your business.

If you plan on using the giveaway to grow your newsletter, this is a perfect opportunity to create a well-thought out welcome sequence to your newsletter. Create a drip campaign that welcomes new subscribers to your list, with a few follow up emails scheduled out over the next month that introduces new subscribers to what they can expect from your newsletter going forward, what your business is about, and why it’s so great to be a customer of your store.

If your giveaway brought about more exposure in your local community, have a plan to keep that momentum going! Throw a fun event, have a sale, or throw another giveaway. Keep your business at the top of your customers mind so you can become a part of their lives.

Whatever your goal is for your promotional product giveaway, by knowing it ahead of time and having a strategic plan for how to use those results, you will be on the path to growing your business in a way that excites your customers and exposes new people to your brand.

"HOPE Coalition can thoroughly recommend Beau! He did a great job on our website, adding features we'd long wanted and "migrating" it successfully to a platform that is much easier for us to use. He's excellent at problem solving, and understands that non-profits operate on exceedingly tight budgets. Most importantly he takes the time to really listen to a client and to speak plain English (instead of "tech-ese")!"

Beau Brewer Digital gets an A+++!! I have worked with Beau in promoting a large community event, as well as during my campaign for city council. First off, he is wonderful to work with. He listens and provides honest, helpful feedback, which helps projects become the best they can be. His knowledge of digital marketing is exceptional, ranging from the building of web sites to new tech like tracking pixels etc. I was always impressed with his suggestions and recommendations as well as his work.
